out of my head and on paper

During times of looming deadlines I still have a little space in my brain that works on other ideas and wants (needs!) to come out and play. Once I'm done with a little exercise like this, I find that I'm able to concentrate on the real work I need to tackle. This is what half a sheet of paper turned into.

Now back to work.

  1. That's wonderful! I need to do some little creative exercises or something. I feel like I've been in a rut lately. What you do with paper is so inspiring!

  2. This is so beautiful! I love seeing your projects.

I find myself daydreaming all day at work of projects I want to attempt. Occasionally I just have to doodle for a bit just to get that off my mind so I can focus. Glad I'm not the only one!

  4. Sometimes I think it would be nice to take an art class and have someone give me assignments.

Love the textures of the curved paper.

  5. Wow! You actually excercise before doing the things you have to do! I still have that little man on my shoulder wispering in my ear: "You haven't done the dishes" and "Work is not ready yet" How much I'd love to get rid of him (or put something in my ears so I can't hear him...)! Your excercising looks beautiful in its symplicity!

  6. It's always so interesting to me to see how others creativity comes to life - especially when the sensibility is so different from my own. I would have never thought to do something like that.

And you photograph it very well, too.
