one week down

Ahh... Thursday night. It already feels like Friday. It's been a long but productive week. Getting up early with the kids, to get them to school on time, and then going to bed late has taken it's toll. My creative juices are nearly depleted. We have to settle into our 'school routine' again. Surprisingly I've gotten a lot done. I say surprisingly because sometimes I feel like I get nothing accomplished when I have a lot of free time.

I'd forgotten how fun it is to pick up the kids from school. They both come out with their arms wide open, smiles on their faces, yelling "Mooooommmmy!" and running all the way until they wrap themselves around my waist. It just about makes my entire day. --insert proud beaming mushy Mom picture--

During a little break today I worked on a couple more note card designs and I printed them all up. I'm set. I like them even though I'd prefer if they were printed offset (too expensive). That's the designer in me speaking - the killjoy part. ;) Note to self: get a round-corner cutter for the final touch.

And YEAH for me! I'm one of the six Craft Tags Contest winners! One of my tags will be in Craft:05. I don't know which one yet. I can't wait to see it in print!

  2. As if there was any doubt one of your tags would be chosen! You're the paper craft QUEEN! They would have lost all credibility if they hadn't selected one of your designs. :)

Your stories of the kiddos running towards you makes me excited for my boys to reach that age of appreciation. Right now it's, "Mama, I need a spoon!"

Don't worry Julieta - I still get the "mom I need a spoon" bit. That hasn't dissipated yet... ;)

  9. I highly recommend the Creative Memories corner rounder. I don't like their scrapping stuff but their tools are top notch and have a lifetime guarantee.

(And no, I don't sell for CM...I just like their tools!)
