Down memory lane

I was playing with little C with these toys this morning when it suddently dawned on me that I really take it for granted that we still have them. The "newest" ones are over 25 yrs old. They look better in the photos. They do have some wear and tear but in general they're in decent condition. All are Fisher Price except the treehouse which is General Mills (??).

The yellow house was given to me on my fifth birthday. I don't remember when I got the tree house. The farm and garage belonged to my youngest brother and the school house belonged to my other brother. They are both single so when we had the kids my mom gave them all to us for the grandkids to play with. Lucky me! :) IMO today's Fisher Price toys don't even come close to being as cute or as well made as all these. How sad.

So does anyone remember these? Play with these?

  3. OMG hahaha I had the sheep, the dog and I recognize the teacher and students. We had a schoolbus. The little students rode on it. So funny to see this.

  4. Those are great Patricia! Sure takes me back, we had the Fisher Price Castle, remember that one? With the trapdoor and the secret room behind the staircase? Actually we still do, it's in my parent's attic. I should rescue it!

  5. I use to play with that farm Fisher-Price™ all the time.

That tree house my sister used with her Smurf figures too.

  6. I'm so jealous ... you have the treehouse. I had the house, the carport garage thing, the zoo and the farm. The little dog that I had with the house, well, his back leg was on backwards.

    So cool ... :)

  7. Yes, yes, I remember these! I never had any [sniff sniff], but a lot of my friends had the barn and treehouse, etc. Brings back wonderful memories!

  8. The Fisher Price Far,. I remeber building onto the farm using lego and being frustrated that I couldn't get Luke Skywalker to sit on the horse properly.
